QuestionWhy does the video show the washer filled and the rotation thing inside, constantly rotating? That's not what it does. It starts, then stops, starts, then stops. Saving energy, right? Oh, and as it does this, it binds clothes together. Horrible washer!

- Answer And another thing about the washer is, it's supposed to be energy efficient. Auto doesn't fill with enough water. "Low" you might be able to wash 4 or 5 small items, Medium, a few more. High, Max, and Deep fill using the "Bulky" setting if it's a larger load.

QuestionDoes this model have an issue with "grinding" sometime when it goes to drain and spin mode? I had an older model which started to do that, but it was already nine years old and serviced a couple of times. This new one is already doing that.

QuestionCan the lid stay open as the water and soap are being added before putting the clothes in? I've seen some models where everything has to go in first, close the lid, then press start.

- Answer Correct. You have to dial in on your settings, add the clothes and detergent, then close the lid, press start and then the machine will put in the water.

QuestionDoes this washer have a soak option? Can this washer wash, a King size comforter?

- Answer Yes, it has soak but no time adjustment for the soak. Depending on the comforter it can wash a king size. As long as you don’t need to pack it down to get it in, the tub is deep. Set the water level to max high and not auto and it should be fine. I’ve done it.

QuestionDoes this washer have a filter that is easily accessible? My current washer doesn't have a filter I can clean and deposits are left on my clothes.

- Answer No, this washer does not have an accessible filter. The drain system allows water to flow through the basket and out the bottom of the tub pulling lint, hair and small particles with the water. There is no maintenance required on this system, so there is not a way to access the pump for cleaning or maintenance.

QuestionRecently purchased and wondering if the “Deep fill” light goes on after you have pressed it?

- Answer Any time the Deep Fill feature is turned on, the Deep Fill LED light is illuminated, regardless if it was a one-time press to add 3 gallons or if it was held for 3 seconds for a full deep fill. The LED light stays on even after the selected fill is complete to show that the feature was selected.

QuestionNo matter what wash cycle/water level is selected, isn't this washer, Model # GTW485ASW0WB (like all washers) supposed to fill with water for rinse cycle? Mine doesn't; only fills up if "Extra Rinse selected??
