Does the top glass lid close slowly or just slams down hard? null

I did the same (went to the store to try it out) and it does slam after it reaches about half way down. IDK why someone said that it doesn't slam down because it does.

you need to hold it to close slowly. It doesn't close slowly by itself.

I'm still in the process of searching, but there were a few reviews on this model complaining about the lid being advertised as slow closing and that not being the case.

I went to one of the other big name stores to test the lid and they were correct.  When I lifted the lid, then lowered it, it closed slowly for about half way and then it slammed.

The other brands advertising the same actually did close slowly 100% (from start to finish).  Perhaps an adjustment would be warranted with this one?
