“Put fabric softener in the side that says fabric softener and ran a load. When it was complete it looked like there was still the same amount of softener in the compartment as when it started. Is there a setting you have to push to get it to dispense”

Hi SW11414 - Yes, choose Deep Rinse option when using a fabric softener. This ensures it is dispensed and clothes are rinsed free of detergent, fabric softener and stubborn soils.
