Questionsilly question I know but I can't find users manual..where do I put the detergent in this washer?

- Answer Hi Patti - HE detergent should be added to the right side of the dispenser drawer. Follow the detergent manufacturer’s recommendations for the correct amount of detergent, based on load size, taking care to add detergent to the right compartment. NOTE: Single-dose laundry packets (pods) should not be added to the dispenser drawer, as they will not dispense properly. Put packets in bottom of wash basket. QuestionWhen pressing any of the 3 ( Temp or Soil or Spin ) buttons on my GTW680BSJWS washer, - 98% of the time they do NOT respond, no matter how much pressure or how many times I try. This has been since I purchased the washer 1 ½ years ago. :-(

- Answer Depending on the cycle the dial is resting on, it will not allow you to change some settings. Most delicates cycles on most washer wont allow you to increase spin or temperature, and non-timed dry cycles won’t allow time adjustments. If you are sure this isn’t the issue, contact customer support.

QuestionMy washer works fine except for when you put laundry in and it fills up with water my drum drops about 2-3 inches evenly and it'll come right back up when there's not a load in it is this a suspension Springs problem

- Answer Hi - Thanks for choosing GE! This is normal. All GE Appliances washer tubs move freely within our exclusive auto balance suspension system. It is a rod and spring floating suspension, designed to withstand extensive out of balance situations without the need for an "out of balance" switch. During an out of balance load, the basket is allowed to "float" forward and backward, side to side, and up and down, yet it never touches the floor nor is it even connected to the floor. - Answer Hi NYC01- Colors/Normal is designed for normal, regular, or typical use for washing up to a full load of normally soiled cotton clothing. Choose the Heavy or Extra Heavy soil level selection and Warm or Hot water temperature selection as appropriate for your clothes load for a higher degree of cleaning. Incorporates multistage fills and wash periods to provide optimal fabric care. Cold Wash is for dark colored fabrics and mixed loads. Cycle combines multiple wash agitation periods with soak periods to provide enhanced cleaning performance and energy efficiency with colder water temperatures (Tap Cold is the temperature of water coming straight from the tap and not a mix of Hot/Cold water). QuestionI have a 1y/o GE GTW680 top load no agitator. On idle, the machine drip water from the soap tray. Any dry clothes left in the machine become wet and heavy resulting the machine to incorrectly default to a full load. What cause this dripping problem?

- Answer Dripping water some from the soap tray is normal. The other problem I have not seen. You might need to call a technician.

QuestionMy GTW680BSJWS washer, two months old, is out of balance most loads. The machine makes a lot of noise, shakes, and I have to pause it to rearrange the clothes. I am very careful about putting the clothes evenly in the washer. Any suggestions?

- Answer Did you check that the washer itself is level. You may need level tool. We had to carefully and repeatedly calibrate our machine's level to get the optimum result. Did they even level the machine on delivery/installation. That should be part of install service.

- Answer Yes, it is constantly out of balance. It also doesn’t clean clothes well unless you have it on “deep fill” all the time. I really hate this machine. It’s one of my worst purchases ever.

QuestionSometimes I just want to rinse certain clothes. Is there a way for me to rinse without having to wait for the entire wash process?? This washer is frustrating and I really hate I bought it.

QuestionWhen I used the deep fill option to wash sheets and towels, there was quite a bit of condensation under the machine (on my tile floor). This is a brand new machine, that was only the 2nd load of laundry done on it. What could cause this?

QuestionOn the GE GTW680BSJWS washer, what is the "extra rinse" option supposed to do? I thought it would repeat the spinning rinse, but it seems to do a fill rinse. How is it different from "Deep Rinse"?

- Answer Deep Rinse is more water in rinse cycle. Extra, I'm not sure, but I think that's a 2nd rinse-to wash out any soap residues.

QuestionGe gtw680 washer is continously blinking after changing the board to a new board. Is there a jumper that needs to transfer to a new board to recognize the model or the new board is bad too.

- Answer Yes my wife has had to change it before when she noticed she put the wrong temp on. It wont change the water temp that's already been added.

QuestionI just purchased the GE 4.6 model 10 days ago. I'm having a problem with the fabric softener dispenser. It won't dispense the fabric softener. I used normal setting twice and white setting once. I set the deep rinse cycle and it did not dispense.

- Answer Hello! The washer is designed to wash, drain, perform spray rinses, the drain and spin. If you select Deep Rinse, then the washer will wash, drain, spin, fill for rinse, drain and spin.
