A:AnswerHi - Thanks for reaching out with this great question. The minimum standpipe height is relative to the bottom of the washer. This is to help ensure that the drain hose cannot be positioned such that it will siphon the wash water out of the machine during a cycle (before the drain pump pushes it out). Since putting the unit on a pedestal or riser raises the bottom of the unit, the minimum standpipe height should increase by the height of what it is being mounted to. We hope this addresses your question. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA
A:AnswerGreetings,
Thanks so much for your question. The 10 year warranty is exclusively for the motor. Please note that you will still be responsible for any labor and related service costs during that period. Reach out if you have any additional questions. Take care! Mike@GEA
A:AnswerHey there. If you need to add an item after the cycle has started, you can press “Add Garment” to unlock the door and add your item. This can only be done while the LED is lit, and once it is no longer lit, you will not be able to add anything else to the cycle. We hope this helps! We’re here should you have any additional questions. -Gina@GEA
A:AnswerHey there,
I do apologize for any confusion caused. The clearance required above the washer is 0". The same is also true for the matching dryer. You can see this on page 19 of the manual. https://files.bbystatic.com/3%2FvTY6tIA8U6BkU58%2Bc4iA%3D%3D/2d6cb555-c3a8-4372-8f6a-fceae6e9ce93.pdf. A:AnswerHey there,
Congratulations on your brand new washer! We're quite sorry to hear about the slow spin cycle and that your clothes were still soaked.
If the clothes seem too wet after the wash cycle is complete, the following are possible reasons the clothes seem too wet:
A slow spin speed may have been selected. A slow spin speed will eliminate less water than a fast spin speed.
Cold water can make clothes feel more wet. If the ground water temperature is very low where you live or during a certain season of the year, this could make the clothes seem to be more wet.
Oversudsing from too much detergent may slow down the final spin cycle, causing a suds lock.
A lower than normal spin speed resulting in wet clothes can occur as a result of oversudsing. The use of HE (High Efficiency) detergent will decrease the chance of suds lock. Use HE detergent only and be sure to use the recommended measured amount. Run a drain/spin cycle if this has occurred to remove the excess water in the clothes. If this information does not help, then service may be needed. You can schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-432-2737. Stay well. Mike@GEA
A:AnswerHi there, we apologize for any confusion. We were responding based on the model you had asked the question under. To clean your washer tub, we recommend the following: First, you can use Tide Washing Machine Cleaner and follow the directions on the package. You may also try the following: 1) Set the washer to fill with hot water and select the longest wash cycle. 2) Add a 3/4 cup of a water softening additive which can usually be found in the laundry detergent aisle in most stores (baking soda or vinegar can be substituted). 3) Allow the washer to complete an entire wash and rinse cycle. We're hoping this is found useful and we're wishing you the best. - Guy@GEA
A:AnswerHey there, we're happy to help you out here. We would recommend you use the Self Clean cycle and 1 cup of bleach or a commercially available product manufactured for this purpose. We suggest Tide Washing Machine Cleaner for best results. The Self Clean cycle should be located on your control dial. If you need anything else at all, just reach out at any time. All the best! - Guy@GEA

A:AnswerHello. We appreciate your interest in this washer and its matching dryer! The washer will come in a carton with these dimensions: Length 35”, Width 29.8”, Height 43”. There are actually two dryers that would match the look of this washer – a gas dryer under GFD65GSPNSN and an electric dryer with model number GFD65ESPNSN. Both the gas and electric dryers’ cartons would have matching dimensions of 34.5” in length, 30.3” in width and the height will be 43.8”. Both dryers have a depth of 32”, and when the door is open the depth increases to about 54 ¼” or 54 ½”. We hope this information is helpful. If you have any other questions or concerns, we’re always happy to assist. Wishing you all the best! -Sarah@GEA
A:AnswerHello. Thanks for reaching out! We're sorry to hear that you are having issues with the detergent amount. We recommend that you manually add a small amount of detergent to see if it will produce the results you are looking for. You could also try diluting, but the washer's smart dispense feature is designed to use detergent right out of the bottle, rather than a diluted version. If you continue to have issues, please reach back out again. We are happy to help!- Kianna@GEA
A:AnswerHello. Thanks for reaching out! Yes, bulky bedding will fit in this washer. If you want to confirm the dryer, we would need the model number. We hope this helps, and should you have any additional questions, please reach out to us!- Kianna@GEA
A:AnswerHi there, and thanks for contacting us – we appreciate your interest in this washer! We know how important cycle times can be, and we’re glad to advise. The approximate cycle times can vary by several minutes more or less depending on the options you select, whether the washer needs to redistribute and balance the load, etc. Because of that, we cannot provide exact times for each cycle; we regret any inconvenience that may cause. We can advise some cycles are estimated to take longer (like Normal (51 to 60 minutes), Whites (60 to 70 minutes) and Active Wear (64 to 67 minutes)) while others generally take less time (like Delicates (46 to 57 minutes) and Quick Wash (30 to 36 minutes)). The Rinse & Spin cycle would only take about 15 minutes. We hope this is helpful. If needed, we have additional information on the various wash cycles in the manual, which can be viewed on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. We’re happy to help if you have any other concerns or questions. Best wishes! -Sarah@GEA

A:AnswerHello- We appreciate your interest and are happy to help! We don't have a smaller pedestal but we do have a 7" Right Height Riser that will raise your washer and dryer 7 inches, making it easier to load and unload laundry and allowing you to use the top as a folding surface. The riser puts the unit at a comfortable working level that meets ADA standards. If you have any questions in the future, please let us know. We are always happy to help! Joyce@GEA
