With models that have WiFi capability, you may see a red light is seen behind the filter on the right side of the unit. This is the status light on the internal WiFi module, and is just an indicator that the module is functioning. If the red LED indicator light is disruptive, you can place some black tape over it, if you prefer. Also, an indicator light will come on after 250 hours of operation as a reminder to clean the air filter.
