Q: QuestionDoes this come with a propane "conversion" kit?

• A:Answer Hello Justwanttocook, I am happy to help. This model does offer a LP conversion kit as an option and it is included with the range. GE recommends a qualified installer or servicer convert the gas range, oven, or cooktop to the proper gas supply needed. The conversion must be in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and all codes and requirements of the authority having jurisdiction. The conversion instructions are located in the wiring diagram (mini-manual) or included with the LP kit attached to the appliance near the pressure regulator. I hope this helps. When first using the oven, we recommend you set the oven on Bake at 500 degrees F for 1 hour, followed by Hi Broil for 45 minutes. Q: QuestionAre the grates really dishwasher safe. The description and pictures implied they are. The GE website says they are only dishwasher safe if they are coated with enamel. Mine are not . So does this mean mine are NOT dishwasher safe?

• A:Answer Hi Kashi, thanks for reaching out! Grates should be washed regularly in hot soapy water, rinsed in clean water, and dried before placing them back on range. Grates and caps can be cleaned in dishwasher as long as they are enamel coated on the bottom. If your grates are not enamel coated, then we would not recommend washing them in the dishwasher. Q: QuestionWhy can't you use "Oven Cleaner" for the inside of the oven? I have tried the steam cleaning option and it doesn't clean it.

We do not recommend the use of oven cleaner because continuous use of chemical cleaners on a self-cleaning oven liner will cause etching and discoloration of the liner, and eventually cause the oven not to clean effectively when using the self-clean cycle. If your oven is not cleaned after running a steam clean, we recommend running a second clean or a self clean cycle. We hope this helps. Best wishes! Mike@GEA

Q: QuestionHow should I clean the metal top of the burners? The whole range is easy to clean except the round parts on the top of the burners. I have my range for a few days only but I can't remove the grease spots from the burners. Thank you.

Q: QuestionDoes the center griddle scratch easily

• A:Answer Yes, the coating scratches very easily! I am very careful and ONLY use wood, silicone or plastic utensils and the surface after one year is to the point where it is extremely scratched up . Frankly, the appearance is a bit embarrassing to have when guests come over & After 1 year I am considering replacing it. I only use a cloth or sponge to clean it after it’s cooled. My thoughts are that the surface is all scratched up from the salt crystals used when I am cooking, along with the hard platstic spatula’s I’ve had for years. I have switched ti only using silicone utensils, but the damage is done. It is a shame as I use the grill several times a week. I would not recommend GE stoves based on my experience. In addition to the scratched up griddle the black cast stovetop grates have taken on a white hue from the pots I use. Buyer beware…
