Since the grates come all the way to the end of the stove, my counter top is pressboard with laminate and wood trim. My question is won't this catch on fire? null

Gas burners 1 inch to 2 inch below grates will not affect countertop at all

of UL and CSA International and complies with the maximum allowable wood cabinet temperatures of 194°F (90°C). We suggest to check with the countertop manufacturer for specifications.
