On mine, if I hit “cook time” and then hit the timer on/off button it will show the time remaining instead of the temp. Hope this works for you!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Marks answer is incorrect - that is, he is not answering the question, which is also my question, which is how to see how much time is remaining in the timer. Marks answer is how to "set" the timer, after which is goes back to temp. If I want to check how much remaining time is on the timer, there appears to be no way to do so. Which is crazy. I just purchased this GE range and am frustrated.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My wife and I solved this problem this evening without any help from the internet, YouTube, or even the brief manual that came with our new oven. Follow this method- set the oven temperature as usual, then proceed to the timer. Hit the timer button once, then again as you will hear a slightly different beep. Then set your time, and hit the timer button one last time. To view the oven temperature, you can hit the bake button once, then go back to hit the timer button (only) once again. Another key is the two little dots in the center of the numerical display- if they are flashing the time needs set by hitting the timer button. It's frustrating, but if you practice you will get the hang of it. I wish I had my old oven back!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have the same issue. When the oven AND the timer are both on, all I can see is the oven temp. There appears to be no way to switch over to see how much time is left on the timer. If I hit the timer button, it turns off the timer. I have no idea if there are 5 min left or 30 min left until the buzzer goes off. Doesn't there have to be a way to check the time remaining on the countdown?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I see a lot of wrong answers here so here is the right one.... Turn your oven set the temp. The Temperature will keep showing. Once it reaches Temperature hit "Timer". Set your time you want, then hit "Start". Now the timer will show the timer not the oven Temperature the whole time until your time is up. If you want to see the oven temperature when the timer is going just hit "Bake" ( or broil or whatever you have your oven on to). Now the oven temp will show. To go back to the Timer just hit "Timer". Now the Timer will show again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When you enter your time make sure you are using the "Cook Time" feature and not the "Timer". Cook time will begin with a "Start " button, the Timer will begin with a "Set " button. If you enter your time with the "Timer" feature it will show the temp large. The time remaining is displayed very small in the lower right hand corner of the display. If you touch, it will become large fo the next minute and then the Temp will return. On my oven the Timer seems to be the default but it is the Cook time feature is what I usually want to use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. After you enter the amount of time, touch the timer on/off button again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Greetings, Thank you so much for reaching out. We'll be happy to answer your question! It is not possible to have the timer remain on display when the oven is in use. We do apologize for this inconvenience. If you need to see the time remaining, simply press the timer button once. Let us know if you need anything. Take care! Mike@GEA
