Hello- Thanks so much for your question. We are happy to help! It really depends on how much time you spend cooking on your stove top. We don't think it will be that significant of a difference. Typically a gas cooktop will cost less than an electric cooktop. We recommend checking with your electric company to see how much you are paying per kilowatt. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a new gas range at my other house. Gas isn't available here so I was using my mom's old electric stove. The stove I just got is cheaper than both. The burners get hot a lot faster and cook times are faster if you choose. Like I said, I was amazed at how fast a pot of cold water boiled.
