  • QuestionWhat level should I put the rack so my baking will brown on bottom

    • Answer Hello Bo - Thank you for the excellent question about this superb range. We would love to help you with this. The further down the rack is, the browner the bottom of your baked goods will be. Likewise with the top, as the higher the position the browner the tops will be.   • Questioncan you us cast iron pot on this cook top

    • Answer Hi there, thanks for reaching out! Cast Iron cookware is not recommended. If the cookware has a burr or rough spot, it will scratch the glass surface. Additionally, it is slow to absorb heat. Once this type of cookware heats up, especially on high heat, it holds an intense amount of heat which is transferred to the cooktop. This can cause the element to shut down as a response to the temperature limiters which indicate surface temperature is too high for cooktop components to handle. Stainless Steel cookware is highly recommended. You can see a list of cookware that we do and do not recommend on our website. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael

We do not provide the AWG wiring size or gauge (the physical thickness of the wire) for those trying to wire their house for any cooking appliance. There are too many variables involved, such as: length, type of wire, etc. This is a safety issue; if the wrong size wire is used, the insulation covering the wire can overheat, melt and cause a fire.     • Answer Hi Helene - Thanks for choosing GE! Slide-in range models fit into standard 30-inch cabinet cutouts like a free-standing range, but with a more custom built-in look. Unlike the free-standing ranges though, electric slide-in ranges have no backsplash, which provides a more integrated appearance. Controls and panel display are on the front of these ranges.   • QuestionWhy is the bottom exposed inside the oven. Shouldn’t there be a metal cover to avoid spilling right on the burners or is my oven missing a piece ?
