Q: QuestionHow does the steam cleaning feature work?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Steam clean is intended to clean small spills using water and a lower cleaning temperature than Self-Clean. The steam clean cycle is designed to sufficiently heat the water added to the oven bottom at the beginning of the steam clean cycle, so that it increases in temperature and can then condense onto food soils, softening them and making them easier to remove.

Q: QuestionDOES THIS RANGE REQUIRE A WATER CONNECTION
Asked by BOB.
- A:Answer No water connection is needed for the range to operate the Steam Cleaning feature. The Steam Clean is 30 minutes and uses only 1 cup of water that you pour in the center of the oven floor and then you'll close the door and proceed with the cycle. Joyce@GEAppliances
