Hi Nicky - Thanks for considering GE Model JS660SLSS! The cooling fan does not run when using the cooktop on a range. The cooling fan will turn off and on to cool internal parts when using the oven only and may run after the oven is turned off. Also, retail dealers establish their pricing structure, and appliance costs will vary between dealers.
