What is the griddle made of? Is it PFOA and PTFE free? null

This griddle absolutely is coated with PFOA, with Teflon. It off-gases something terrible. We are trying to find non-coated parts for our rental home. GE is wrong that it complies with international laws, only laws in the US, where such chemicals are legal. These chemicals have been banned in Canada, for example, since 2016.

I'm at a new rental that has a GE stove with non stick parts-- horrible! has anyone found replacement parts that are NOT GE? I'd rather not give money to a company that is making this horrible product.

The griddle is cast iron. I don’t think it is coated with anything. To prepare for cooking the manual says to prepare the surface with cooking spray or vegetable oil just like you would any cast iron cookware. Some models come with an aluminum griddle. I do not have any info on those. Hope this answered your question.

All of the grating and flat top is made of cast iron. It’s very nice.
