Please be careful when you allow Best Buy to install your appliances. I purchased a stove from Best Buy and had it installed September 4, 2019. The first time it was installed by Best Buy there was a gas leak. We had to turn the gas off and open the doors and windows to air our our house. When we called we had to wait until September 9, 2019 to have another Best Buy installer come to fix the gas leak. The installer confirmed that the first Best Buy installers did not put a protective sealant to stop the gas from leaking out. After that second installer left, less than an hour there was another smell of gas. This time we had to call the gas company, they advised us to go outside and wait The gas company came out to our home and had to turn the gas off because our gas reading was at a number 4 on the scale they use between 0-1. The gas company left a caution sign on our new stove installed by Best Buy twice, not to use because of the gas leak. We called and spoke to Best Buy Corporate and was told that the unit might be faulty and offered to switch the unit. We let Best Buy Corporate know that the gas company confirmed that the stove is not the problem, but the way it was poorly installed. We decided to keep the stove and have an outside company install the stove and have Best Buy pay for it. Best Buy Corporate said after it is installed to call them back to have compensation, but still thought it is the stove that is faulty. On September 13, 2019, we had an appointment with an independent contractor called Royal Appliance, they installed the stove and used all the proper equipment needed to install the stove and we have not had a problem since. However, when we called Best Buy Corporate back, they informed us that our compensation would be $105 on a Best Buy gift card. We explained that it is unacceptable, because lives could have been lost due to the negligence of the two Best Buy installers. Best Buy Corporate told us that the most they are willing to give for compensation is $105 on a Best Buy gift card, but if we go to the store we can get more. When we spoke to the Best Buy where we bought the stove, they offered us $60. Then we asked for more and then Best Buy said they will give us $80. We asked for at least what Best Buy Corporate offer. Best Buy then said they would give us $100. for almost losing our lives from two gas leaks because the Best Buy installer do not know how to install stoves.

This range has a Deep Recessed, Edge-to-Edge Gray Porcelain-Enamel Cooktop (durable baked on porcelain enamel surface). The cooktop cleans easily with a mild soap and water or a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. An oven cleaner is not recommended. The porcelain enamel surface should be able to withstand moderate cleaning with cleansing powders. However, since there is a wide variety of cleaning products available, we recommend following the guidelines of the manufacturers of these cleaning products. For example, some non-scratch products are approved for cleaning enamel surfaces while most steel wool pads are not recommended.
