• Hi Mari- Metal utensils should not be used on the non-stick surface of the griddle. Use only plastic, nylon, wooden utensils, or Silverstone kitchen tools to prevent marring of the coating. • No it won’t. The finish seems to be through and through. I’ve found that if I use Pam to clean it stays ready to cook. Just wipe dry
