A:AnswerI also had an electric stove with no ventilation before purchasing my gas stove. You do not need a ventilation in the home for the gas stove but you will need a plumber to install a gas line if you do not have one. I am assuming this since the stove was electric. The ventilation system is only needed if you have a vent/hood. You can even buy a ductless hood. So you won’t need to make any holes for a ventilation system.

A:AnswerHi there - Great question! This model range has a steam clean oven. The steam will loosen soil on the racks as well as the oven interior, which then can be wiped off with a soapy dishcloth. This feature is quicker, cooler, and faster than self-clean. Instructions for using the steam clean feature can be found on page 18 in the owner's manual. Thanks so much for asking! -Mikayla@GEA

A:AnswerI have two of these ranges in 1 month. The first was leaking gas when it wasn’t even on. The second had an intense gas odor when the oven was on. Called out my gas company and it turned out it was also leaking gas off the charts. In the process of trying to now return this so I can go with a different brand
A:AnswerHi Nicki - This is not a self-cleaning oven. It features a Steam Clean option. Many newer ranges offer a Steam Clean option for easily cleaning the oven. The Steam cycle helps hydrate food soils so that they are easier to wipe away. A:AnswerPlease be careful when you allow Best Buy to install your appliances. I purchased a stove from Best Buy and had it installed September 4, 2019. The first time it was installed by Best Buy there was a gas leak. We had to turn the gas off and open the doors and windows to air our our house. When we called we had to wait until September 9, 2019 to have another Best Buy installer come to fix the gas leak. The installer confirmed that the first Best Buy installers did not put a protective sealant to stop the gas from leaking out. After that second installer left, less than an hour there was another smell of gas. This time we had to call the gas company, they advised us to go outside and wait
The gas company came out to our home and had to turn the gas off because our gas reading was at a number 4 on the scale they use between 0-1. The gas company left a caution sign on our new stove installed by Best Buy twice, not to use because of the gas leak.
We called and spoke to Best Buy Corporate and was told that the unit might be faulty and offered to switch the unit. We let Best Buy Corporate know that the gas company confirmed that the stove is not the problem, but the way it was poorly installed. We decided to keep the stove and have an outside company install the stove and have Best Buy pay for it. Best Buy Corporate said after it is installed to call them back to have compensation, but still thought it is the stove that is faulty.
On September 13, 2019, we had an appointment with an independent contractor called Royal Appliance, they installed the stove and used all the proper equipment needed to install the stove and we have not had a problem since. However, when we called Best Buy Corporate back, they informed us that our compensation would be $105 on a Best Buy gift card. We explained that it is unacceptable, because lives could have been lost due to the negligence of the two Best Buy installers. Best Buy Corporate told us that the most they are willing to give for compensation is $105 on a Best Buy gift card, but if we go to the store we can get more.
When we spoke to the Best Buy where we bought the stove, they offered us $60. Then we asked for more and then Best Buy said they will give us $80. We asked for at least what Best Buy Corporate offer. Best Buy then said they would give us $100. for almost losing our lives from two gas leaks because the Best Buy installer do not know how to install stoves.
A:AnswerYes, it comes with a propane conversion kit. But be careful as the orifices that have to be replace on the top burners may not come loose very easily. You may have to remove the top and get a wrench on the orifice holder on the bottom or you will damage the pipe it's attached to.
