“Hi. Does this oven run the fan when cooking in conventional mode as well as convection mode? I am replacing a Bosch dual-fuel that runs the fan In both modes - very annoying and noisy. What is the sound level of the fan when it runs? Thank you.”

Hello, thank you for the excellent question. The conventional cooking mode does not utilize the fan, so it will not run if that mode is selected. During the convection mode, the fan will cycle on and off depending on the heat level and to maintain temperature, so the noise level will depend on how often the fan is going. It will also not run until preheat is reached in the convection mode. We hope this helps! -Elliot@GEA
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.So far, I have only used the oven in convection mode. However the fan is VERY quiet. The first time I used it (before I learned what to listen for) I had to open the door and look to see if the fan was indeed running. It makes a very soft whirring sound that you can hear if you listen for it. But only if you listen for it. There is also a vent fan at the back of the oven, unrelated to the convection mode fan. It is completely quiet unless you put your ear close (don't).
