We're happy to help! Our dehumidifiers are designed to run until your desired humidity level is reached or the bucket is full, whichever comes first. This model does offer a Timer function. The unit can be set to turn on or off after a set amount of time. If the unit is ON, it can be set to turn off after a set number of hours. By the same token, if it is OFF, it can be programmed to come on in a certain number of hours. The Timer feature does not allow you to create an on/off schedule; it is one-time programming. -Vikki@GEAppliances
