A:AnswerHi GrannyG- The burner BTU's are as follows: 1. Left Front 21,000 BTU Tri-ring Burner, 2. Left Rear 5,000 BTU Precise Simmer, 3. Right Front 15,000 BTU, 4. Right Rear 9,500 BTU, 5. Center 9,500 BTU Dual Oval. This should be consistent with other models. A:AnswerHi - The gas broil burner is in the lower oven. The low power electric element in the upper oven does not get hot enough to broil. Rather, it is there to provide the right amount of top heat for browning during bake. You'll love your color choice. Slate appliances blend with today's premium kitchen materials. The rich matte appearance naturally hides fingerprints and smudges to maintain its beauty. A:AnswerYes, it's a "glass" touchscreen. It may be a poly-carbonate panel but you get the idea. We've had ours for about 2 months now and we love it. It's easy to clean and performs great. The oven seems to produce a true and even heat and the cook top burners perform well. Very happy with the purchase.
A:AnswerHello TAAC,
Thanks for reaching out. We're happy to answer your question. Yes, the oven light can be turned off when leaving the door open or when using the oven. We hope this helps. Best wishes! Mike@GEA
A:AnswerHi Mo - This is incorrect. The upper oven is Traditional. The lower oven is True European Convection- Includes a third heating element and fan combination. A:AnswerHi AbbyQ- Thanks for considering GE! "Lock Controls" locks out the control so that pressing the pads does not activate the controls. The burners cannot be locked. The gas control knobs on all our gas cooking products meet GE Appliances and third-party industry safety requirements as push-to-turn knobs. You must push the knob in and turn it to the LITE position. The electric spark igniters automatically light the surface burners, when the control knobs are turned to LITE. You may want to check with Perfectly Safe: 1-800-837-KIDS(5437) (M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm. EST). They offer locks for appliances, range knob covers, etc. Keep in touch! Sue
A:AnswerHi Miscellamy- There is only one Timer On/Off. However, each oven features Cook Time. When set, counts down cooking time and turns off the oven when the cooking time is complete. Select a desired cooking mode and temperature. Press Options and select Cook Time. Use number pads to program a cook time in hours and minutes. Then press Start/Enter.
