Hi BrioGirl - Thanks for considering GE! You'll love your choice and should not expect your foods to be overcooked in the upper or lower oven. The range has been designed to maintain a tighter control over the oven's temperature. Our GE double oven ranges allow you to cook two different dishes at two different temperatures at the same time. Also, all GE double ovens feature convection (lower oven) for even cooking results. Check out the Cooking Guide on page 20 of the Owner's Manual for recommendations: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-85223-2.pdf - You might want to pair with matching GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM7195SKSS. The four-speed, 400-CFM venting fan system quickly removes smoke, steam and odors from the cooktop to keep kitchen air fresh and clean. Thanks for considering GE. Keep in touch! Sue
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not had any issues with the top oven. Temperatures always seem to be consistent. Tend to go with lower time to be safe as we all should and it depends on the item I’m baking if it needs to go longer.
