  • QuestionHow long is the cord? Will this protect a Samsung 4k 65" and a blue ray player with sound system?

    Asked by Brad.

    • Answer Hello Brad, thank you for your question. The cord is 10ft (3.0m) long. Also, the surge has a rating of 800 joules which would protect your devices from surges of 800 joules or less. You will know that protection is no longer being provided to your connected devices whenever the protected indicator light on the surge protector shuts off. • QuestionHow many joules is this? What is the benefit having a surge protector than a power strip or plug rite in to wall ? Thank you in advance

    Asked by Dan.

    • Answer Hello Dan, thank you for your question. This surge protector has an 800 joules protection rating. The benefit of a surge protector is it attempts to defends against possible voltage spikes compared to a power strip that simply provides extra outlet space. Another benefit is a surge protector usually comes with an equipment warranty that will cover the surge protector itself and the devices you have plugged-in. There are terms to this warranty so you would need to refer to the connected equipment warranty information that comes with the surge protector. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to respond or give us a call between the hours of 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM Central Standard Time, Monday thru Friday at 1-800-654-8483, and press option 4. • Questiondo the plugs rotate, so it can be arranged horizontally? I have several three, 4 inch long "plugs" to plug in, 2-2-1/2 inches wide. so they need to be arranged horizontally.

    Asked by Dorothy.

    • Answer Hello Dorothy, thank you for your question. When the outlets rotate, they do not allow you to plug anything into them. The outlets need to stay oriented the same way they are in the picture in order for you to use them. When they are rotated the other way, they will be locked as a safety feature and this allows more room for adapters.
