“From what I understand the microwave uses microwaves to cook and the oven uses halogen lights. Does the speedcook feature use both halogen and microwaves? I don't like microwaves, that's why I'm looking for an OTR halogen oven.”

• Yes, the speedcook does use halogen and microwave. The unit does have what is called convection bake, which is halogen heated only.
