Try setting up the plug closer to your router/strong network signal. I had trouble with some devices before. When I had them closer to my router I was able to set them up and then moved them to where I had wanted them, and they work fine now.

This smart plug requires a 2.4ghz wifi network to connect and use, and may have issues getting connected to blended networks.
