Hello RS19, thank you for your question. The dimming schedule will depend on the hub provider and what function the app will offer. The switch will have a manual button that you can use to control the switch manually control the brightness of the connected device. Here are how mine work - the plugin dimmer is continually varialbe if you use the button on the device . Push and hold the button on the device until your desired light level is reached, then release rhe button. My online controller tends to set it at percentages, like 30%, 40%, and so on. When you turn it on the next time,the device uses the same brightness as set when you switched it off. I like the way they operate and rate them high for satisfaction.
