QuestionI have a new GE Profile pvm9005sjss and I'm trying to figure out if the control panel can be backlite. It looks like it is a feature, but I can find no way to turn it on in reading the manual. The controls are very hard to read in dim lighting.

- Answer There is a light setting under SETTINGS (4) but I couldn't see if it works because my microwave is under a skylight and it is very bright.

Our GE Profile™ Over-the-Range Oven with Advantium® Technology PSA9120SFSS has an Auto Night Light feature. You can use this feature to set the surface light to come on and go off at a certain time. Auto Night Light will turn on the surface light to the night setting, when the clock time matches the Auto Night Light on time, even if the surface light is on the bright setting. You can defrost by time, weight, or sensor. The manual comes with a complete guide with the best tips for defrosting multiple types of food. And how could we forget pizza? QuestionI have a PVM9215SF1SS which is an over the range microwave (same size) with built in exhaust fan (hood). Will this model (PVM9005SJSS) exhaust duct line up with my existing one??? My existing exhaust duct is in the back (inside wall).

- Answer Hi Louie - Yes, the over-the-range microwave ovens are designed for adaptation for the following three types of ventilation: 1. Outside Exhaust (Vertical – Delivered from factory in vertical position). 2. Outside Exhaust (Horizontal). 3. Recirculating (Non-vented ductless). All over-the-range microwaves can be vented to the outside using an equivalent total of 140 feet of rigid 3 1/4" x 10" rectangular or rigid 6" round ducting (round transition adapter must be used).
