Q: QuestionI just purchased this unit and I need to know which trim models can be used with this. They seem to be in short supply but there are other trims that seem like they might work. Please advise PEB7227DLBB

• A:Answer Hi there, thanks for reaching out! Trim kits are model specific. We would not recommend attempting to use a different trim kit than the one that is compatible with your unit. The 27" trim kit for this model can be see here: JX7227DLBB - and the 30" trim kit can be seen here: JX7230DLBB. • A:Answer Hi Sandra, thank you for reaching out! All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy! - NOTE: When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. - You can view a nice replacement for your model here: JVM6172DKBB. Q: QuestionMy current GE Profile Model No. JVM2070WHO2 has been gradually falling apart, now with a broken door handle and bad circuits. Would this be a good replacement for my over the range unit? I want one with a push button door because of the handle weakness.

The new model that you've provided is not an over the range model, rather it is a built in model. The built in model is mean to be installed with a trim kit in surrounding cabinetry. - All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy! - NOTE: When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. None of our Over the Range microwaves have a button to open the door, they only have a handle that you would pull on to open said door. Q: QuestionI have a cabinet opening of 25” wide and 15” tall. Can I use this microwave and not use a trim kit? If so, will it look ok without one?

• A:Answer Hi Nichole - Thanks for viewing GE Model PEB7227DLBB! Dimensions are: 14H x 24 1/8W x 19 3/4D. Microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge air vents. If not installed with a trim kit, allow 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and 1" clearance in the rear. The front edge of the microwave (measured at door) should sit at least 3" or more back on the counter or shelf to avoid accidental tipping. If located on the counter near a range, we recommend locating it at least 2 ft away and do not place near or over a heat source.
