When used as a countertop microwave, this model requires 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and 1" clearance in the rear. When installed in a cabinet, the compatible trim kit should be used which will take care of any air clearances. The compatible trim kits are JX7227DLBB or JX7230DLBB.
