A:AnswerHi there, thanks for reaching out! Trim kits are model specific. We would not recommend attempting to use a different trim kit than the one that is compatible with your unit. The 27" trim kit for this model can be see here: JX7227DLBB - and the 30" trim kit can be seen here: JX7230DLBB. The main difference between these two kits is how much overlap you want from the cutout space to the surrounding cabinetry. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael
A:AnswerHi Sandra, thank you for reaching out! All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy! - NOTE: When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. - You can view a nice replacement for your model here: JVM6172DKBB. Should you not like that model, here are a few more you can view: JVM3160DFBB, JVM6175DKBB, PVM9179DKBB. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael
A:AnswerHi Kep349,
We will be glad to help you find a replacement. We have found that model PEB7227ANDD is a suitable replacement since it requires the same cutout dimensions. Please note that you will need to use the kit provided as they are model specific. We hope this model is to your liking. Best wishes -Mike
A:AnswerHi MartinF17, thanks for your question! We're sorry to hear about your older microwave! We'd be happy to help you shop. The new model that you've provided is not an over the range model, rather it is a built in model. The built in model is mean to be installed with a trim kit in surrounding cabinetry. - All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. None of our Over the Range microwaves have a button to open the door, they only have a handle that you would pull on to open said door. Here are some models that we think you'll really love: JVM3160DFWW, JVM6172DKWW, JVM6175DKWW, JVM7195DKWW, JNM7196DKWW, PVM9179DKWW. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael

A:AnswerHi Nichole - Thanks for viewing GE Model PEB7227DLBB! Dimensions are: 14H x 24 1/8W x 19 3/4D. Microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge air vents. If not installed with a trim kit, allow 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and 1" clearance in the rear. The front edge of the microwave (measured at door) should sit at least 3" or more back on the counter or shelf to avoid accidental tipping. If located on the counter near a range, we recommend locating it at least 2 ft away and do not place near or over a heat source. If using a trim kit, we suggest viewing the Quick Specs document for compatible trim kits and cabinet dimensions:
