• A:Answer $139.99 But all they do is unbox and set in place and install trim. If your new microwave is larger or smaller and you want it to fit properly in your opening, it is up to you to add or reduce the spacer(s) under the microwave. Installation crew will not do this. Also trim may not match your existing cabinet color or oven below trim. I was lucky, I modified my old trim to fit the new GE microwave and added spacers so the new one would fit in the cabinet exactly like the old one did.

Q: QuestionHI GE I Love this microwave and am building a new house and need this exact one in stainless steel. since it does not come in that can I use the counter top model in a cabinet with trim kit since that does come in Stainless? what is the difference?

Q: Questionis there a difference in the front of the Black, black stainless and grey in these models? They all look about the same. Where is the color different? The prices are quite different. It doesn't come with the trim kits, which would be different.

Microwave trim kits are designed to provide a built-in look while also providing air flow necessary to the microwave. A trim kit consists of the trim frame, as well as an upper, lower, and rear duct that attaches to and encases the microwave inside the cabinet cut-out. This trim kit uses air flow from the top, bottom and sides of the trim frame (you can only see the vents when viewing from the top or sides). • A:Answer The model is not the problem. The size of your cabinet and the size of the old trim that goes over the microwave, I found, is more of a problem. Measure the old microwaves dimensions, Height, Width, and length or depth. But height and width is most important because your cabinet may be limited in these two dimensions. The depth normally will not be a problem. Then measure the new microwave you want to purchase and try to get one the same height and width so your old trim will fit the new microwave. Unless you do not care what the new trim you have to purchase for the new microwave looks like. Then all you have to worry about is will the new microwave fit into your cabinet space.

• A:Answer The Best Buy folks tried to help me in many ways, but eventually I found that going directly to GE solved my problems. I did get a comparable GE microwave with Best Buy but I ended up ordering the trim kit directly from GE. Their customer service folks were very helpful and the kit was delivered quickly. I hired a handy man to install both.
