A:AnswerThe model is not the problem. The size of your cabinet and the size of the old trim that goes over the microwave, I found, is more of a problem. Measure the old microwaves dimensions, Height, Width, and length or depth. But height and width is most important because your cabinet may be limited in these two dimensions. The depth normally will not be a problem. Then measure the new microwave you want to purchase and try to get one the same height and width so your old trim will fit the new microwave. Unless you do not care what the new trim you have to purchase for the new microwave looks like. Then all you have to worry about is will the new microwave fit into your cabinet space.
A:AnswerHello Nelly. This microwave can be installed under a counter. In this instance, 36"H is a recommendation for accessibility, but is not a requirement. I'm glad you checked! LEDA@GEA

A:AnswerHi Dgunth- Thanks for continuing to make GE Appliances a part of your home! We are sorry to hear of the issue with the handle and certainly appreciate your loyalty! You will want to choose an Over-the-Range Microwave Oven. We suggest our GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM7195DKWW with a dark gray, easy clean enamel interior with Steam Clean. Messes inside the microwave are easy to wipe away after steam loosens food grime. Also, sensor cooking controls sense humidity from foods while cooking and automatically adjusts time and power for delicious cooking results. All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions needed to make installation a simple process. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy. Keep in touch. With so many choices, we are always glad to help make your shopping experience a bit easier! SUEatGEA
A:AnswerThe Best Buy folks tried to help me in many ways, but eventually I found that going directly to GE solved my problems. I did get a comparable GE microwave with Best Buy but I ended up ordering the trim kit directly from GE. Their customer service folks were very helpful and the kit was delivered quickly. I hired a handy man to install both.

A:AnswerHi Tdoggy- There are a variety of microwaves available; however, only select models can be installed in a cabinet for a built-in look. A built-in microwave requires a 27" or 30" wide trim kit. Microwave trim kits are designed to provide a built-in look while also providing air flow necessary to the microwave. A trim kit consists of the trim frame, as well as an upper, lower, and rear duct that attaches to and encases the microwave inside the cabinet cut-out. It is important to only use the trim kit designed for that model. GE Profile™ Series 2.2 Cu. Ft. Built-In Sensor Microwave Oven

A:AnswerI don’t believe it will fit. I had an older model ge profile microwave that I had to replace. The new microwave was the same size, but my trim kit would not fit my microwave. I ordered the right trim kit, but I have not received it, due to the trim kit is back ordered. It take over a month to get the trim kit.
We also noticed that when we ordered the new microwave it said it was stainless steel, but when we received it is not actually stainless steel it’s black. The model number was correct.
I added a picture of the microwave that is supposedly called stainless steel.
A:AnswerHi Amol- We certainly appreciate your loyalty! Built-in double ovens with microwave are designed as one model so that the oven and microwave are wired together. You cannot replace just the microwave or just the oven. It would require replacing the model. A:AnswerThank you for your continued interest in GE microwaves. Trim kits attach to the actual microwave, so they are model specific. We do not have a current model that can be used with your existing trim kit. The PEB7227 and its trim kit should still work in your existing space though. LEDA@GE
