Q: QuestionWe have a difference of 2.62 inches on the height of the wall oven being delivered on Monday, will the installer add the 2.62 with a filler at the time? Or will he have to come back to finish installation? our height is 46 inches and the oven is 43.38.
Asked by Lucy.
- A:Answer it's going to depend on the equipment carried by the installation team. our guys thought they had the trim piece. then they thought they had one they could make work (never choose that option). then they told us to contact Best Buy. and they had us contact GE. i would try to reach them before delivery and ensure they bring all that is available.

Q: Question3 QUESTIONS, We have a JTP8660F2BB and the microwave paint on the interior top of the microwave is peeling, can this be repaired? Its 14yr old, are we beyond useful life and do we replace it? Will this model PT7800 fit in the opening of the JTP8660?
Asked by JohnR001.
- A:Answer Best Buy has a contact with a crew that will come out, measure the space, measure your current appliances, and then ascertain what will or won’t fit there. They will also give you an estimate of what it will cost in terms of extra labor to modify the cabinet or granite countertop to make it fit. We had a one inch section of granite cut out for our cooktop and then some cabinet cut out to get the combo unit in, both for very reasonable additional charges. The same crew will do the install as well and cart your old unit off.

Q: QuestionI bought this oven/microwave two months ago and the microwave panel stopped working tonight. WTH?? Is this a glitch> Buyer beware- should not happen to a $3000 oven!!!
Asked by jackiehuntsville.
- A:Answer It can be a lot of things ranging from a blown fuse or an issue wit the door latch. Make sure the door is completely closed before operating. Or. google the problem shooting for your respective model and see if there is a fuse and is it blow? Someone could have run the microwave inadvertently with aluminum foil, a screw, etc, in it to trigger a blown fuse.

Q: QuestionWhat size wire does this take, I'm trying to find the amperage and this does not tell me the info
Asked by Nece.
- A:Answer Hello- Thanks so much for your question. We are happy to help! You must use a single-phase, 120/208 VAC or 120/240 VAC, 60 Hertz electrical system. If you connect to aluminum wiring, properly installed connectors approved for use with aluminum wiring must be used. Note: Effective January 1, 1996, the National Electrical Code requires that new construction (not existing) utilize a four-conductor connection to an electric oven. When installing an electric oven in new construction, a mobile home, recreational vehicle or an area where local codes prohibit grounding through the neutral conductor, refer to the section on four-conductor branch circuit connections. Check with your local utilities for electrical codes which apply in your area. Failure to wire your oven according to governing codes could result in a hazardous condition. If there are no local codes, your oven must be wired and fused to meet the National Electrical Code, NFPA No. 70 – latest edition, available from the National Fire Protection Association. Please check our site for the complete installation instructions. We do not provide the AWG wiring size or gauge (the physical thickness of the wire) for those trying to wire their house for any cooking appliance. There are too many variables involved, such as: length, type of wire, etcetera. This is a safety issue; if the wrong size wire is used, the insulation covering the wire can overheat, melt and cause a fire. The power leads supplied with this appliance are suitable for connection to heavier gauge household wiring. The insulation of these leads is rated for temperatures much higher than the temperature rating of the household wiring. The current-carrying capacity of the conductor is governed by the wire gauge and the temperature rating of the insulation around the wire. We can't provide a link on through this format but if you'd like to reach out directly we can provide you with the link. We hope this is helpful. Q: QuestionI have the GE Profile combo PT7800SHSS Oven. I can not find any info about using the microwave convention bake about the glass turntable. Things say use metal rack on the glass turntable. But my glass turntable has "use only when microwaving"?
Asked by ICook2.
- A:Answer Hello. Thanks for reaching out to us! We apologize for any confusion. For proper use, place your food or oven safe dish on the glass tray when using the convection bake feature. When convection baking on two levels, place your food or oven safe dish on the wire oven rack and place them on the glass tray. The turntable must always be in place when using the oven.
