Hi - For this type of glass cooking surface, we recommend stainless, heavy weight aluminum, copper bottom (copper may leave a residue which can appear as scratches. The residue can be removed, as long as the cooktop is cleaned immediately) and enameled cast iron (if the bottom is also coated) pots or pans. We do recommend holding the handle of your pot or pan when stirring or tending to the food item you're cooking for safety reasons and to prevent scratching of the glass surface. We're glad you checked and hope this information is helpful. All our best! Vikki@GEA
