There is a drain line from the unit. Put it in a 5 gallon bucket! We are in a humid air condition, and the unit needs to condense lots of water to make the air comfortable- more than can go out with the vent. We have been draining the bucket (half-full) every 6 hours or so. Be sure the hose is lower than the point where it attaches to the unit on the way to the bucket so the line will drain effectively.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As the air conditioner runs it is removing moisture from the space where it's installed. Depending on the humidity level, it is possible for the internal water tank to need to be emptied. In this situation, FL will be displayed on the control panel. To prevent leaking, empty the water tank as indicated in the manual and be sure the unit is level and positioned on a smooth floor. If you continue to have an issue with the unit leaking, please check with your retailer for information on their specific exchange policy. If you are past their exchange period, please call GE Appliances at 1-800-432-2737 for further assistance. -Vikki@GEAppliances
