• A:Answer There is a drain line from the unit. Put it in a 5 gallon bucket! We are in a humid air condition, and the unit needs to condense lots of water to make the air comfortable- more than can go out with the vent. We have been draining the bucket (half-full) every 6 hours or so. Be sure the hose is lower than the point where it attaches to the unit on the way to the bucket so the line will drain effectively.

Q: QuestionCan the outside air intake be disconnected when the outside temp exceeds 90F?

The overall cooling performance and efficiency would be negatively impacted if the intake hose was disconnected. • A:Answer Yes, but it would be extremely difficult as that box is attached to the cardboard and foam base with two shipping straps. Once the straps are cut, then there isn't a way to keep the box and unit together unless you install new straps. The unit and box is really heavy and awkward at 75 lbs.

• A:Answer After my first usage there was about a pint of water that I drained- the room had been very humid prior to putting it on. Subsequently it has about 2-4 tablespoons of water for about 10 hours of run time, so the self evaporation feature is working well. It really depends on how much humidity is in the room while it is first put on. If the FL happened immediately, I'd think there was something wrong with the water guage

• A:Answer No.. If you use the upper continuous drain hose, you have to empty the external bucket daily. However, if you leave it plugged, you rarely have to empty the bottom tank as it uses a scoop method to eject the condensed water into the hot hose line, thus evaporating it easily. My has been running for a week now and has not shut off due to needing to drain the bottom tank.
