The range may be placed with 0” clearance (flush) at the back wall and side walls of the cabinet. This information and more can be found in the installation instructions on our website.

If you do not have a backsplash behind it it will have a gap (from the wall) of approximately 1/2" directly behind/along the exhaust vent. The “lip” you see at the back is actually a exhaust fan/vent for the oven. It does NOT have an integrated down draft “hood” (nor would you actually want that). I suppose the 1/2 gap at the rear leaves room for a (completely) separate down draft kit. If, say, you wanted to put the range in an island (you still should get an overhead hood though).
