• The third rack is a hinderance. You have to be specific on placement inside, this limits space.

• Hi Deacon! Great question, we like the 3rd rack too it's great for silverware! The 3rd rack is not very tall at all and is actually located above the upper rack. This unit has been designed with the 3rd rack in mind so you will not lose space between your upper and lower racks. Hope this helps! We're always here it you have other questions. -Michael@GEA
