The bin is not refrigerated. The melted ice drains back into the water reservoir and is recycled. No need to dump any water.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will melt & recycle back down the drain to remake ice. I simply make bags of ice so I can just turn it off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 2.0 model we have recirculates the water so it reuses it. No mess and no need to dump it. We’ve found that the ice stays frozen a long time in the bin. We make ice in the late afternoon/evening and turn the machine off for the night. I have ice for a “to go” cup in the morning.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the ice does melt in the bin; but the water is recirculated to make more ice.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It melts and recycles the water for reuse, but the manufacturer states the unit should not be used outdoors. I'm assuming this is because the ice bin is not refrigerated and the icemaker would probably have a hard time keeping the bin full since ice is only made every 20 minutes or so. I definitely wouldn't keep this outdoors during hot weather.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The unit is plugged in and does hold the ice for a good 6-8 hours and if unused it melts into the reservoir area where water is stored prior to the ice making process beginning.
