“Are both tubes on opal 2.0 ice maker supposed to drain water out? And it keeps saying add water”

Yes, both tubes are supposed to drain water which is why both tubes are capped off at the beginning, Tube A drains the internal Reservoir and Tube B drains the side tank. Tube A must always be capped off at the end while running generally...Tube B needs to be plugged into side tank so that way it drains the side tank if it is used, otherwise Tube B is always capped off as well. You would only remove them if you wanted to drain the entire system to descale/clean or store.
