- Answer I replaced model JEM31sf001 with a PEM31sfss. The dimensions were within a half inch all around. The replacement was slightly larger.

QuestionPurchased this model 3 yrs ago. The plate on the interior right side fell off yesterday. The opening behind it appears to have black charring around it. Works but what caused this & is it safe to use?

The cardboard cover on the right top or side wall of the microwave interior is there by design. The cardboard (mica) covers the waveguide system that feeds microwave energy into the cavity and should not be removed. The microwave should not be used for any function if this cardboard cover is not in place. Service is required. - Answer Hi Jimmy- The current model is our GE Profile™ Series 1.1 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave Oven PEM31SFSS. It is compatible with Optional Undercabinet Hanging Kit WX4-a019. This hanging kit is the kit for older and new models, but it has gone through numerous updates over the years. When new models are added, the kit gets updated with mounting templates and rear brackets (if changed) for the newest models. The basic instructions don't change. The PEM31SFSS does have a different mounting template than the JEM31SF001. The rear brackets are the same. We certainly appreciate your loyalty! SUEatGEA

- Answer I don!t know the model number of the GE Profile which I purchased in 2013. The new model had lightly different dimension as the previous model. The new model was about a quarter inch taller on the outside. The cavity height is also taller. I don’t see much difference except there is less cooking options in the menu. The size is almost the same. The dimensions in the description are accurate.

QuestionI have a 31SM4SS that needs to be replaced. It fits tightly on sides and top to cabinet. Do you have a replacement for this microwave. I don't think a mounting kit was put in. Also the cabinets are not standard side and not very deep. thanks

If using a trim kit, the replacement model is PEM31SFSS: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-specs/PEM31SFSS Keep in mind, if not using a trim kit, the microwave will need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge air vents. Countertop models need the following:. ~3" of clearance on both sides and the top ~1" clearance in the rear ~The front edge of the microwave (measured at door) should sit at least 3" or more back on the counter or shelf to avoid accidental tipping. ~If located on the counter near a range, we recommend locating it at least 2 ft away. ~Do not place near or over a heat source. You may want to consider building in with a kit. QuestionWe have an old Spacemaker ll Microwave White, It is above the counter in a space 12x12x24 I have not been able to find a new one that will fit in that space. The interior paint is peeling off after 12 year. I would still like white.

QuestionHi... We have been driving ourselves crazy in an attempt to replace our Microwave, which is a GE JE 1540WV002, and have had no luck finding anything that will fit into the space. Is there a replacement model, and if so, where can it be purchased?

QuestionI have a 31SM4SS that needs to be replaced. It fits tightly on sides and top to cabinet. Do you have a replacement for this microwave. I don't think a mounting kit was put in. Also the cabinets are not standard side and not very deep. thanks

QuestionWe have an old Spacemaker ll Microwave White, It is above the counter in a space 12x12x24 I have not been able to find a new one that will fit in that space. The interior paint is peeling off after 12 year. I would still like white.

QuestionHave a GE profile stainless steel microwave JEM31SF001 that was built into out island cabinet with a trim that needs to be replaced. the comparable current model is PEM31SFSS . Is that correct? And would the existing trim work or do I need a new trim ?
