QuestionDoes this dishwasher have a floor protect alert system and how does it work?

- Answer Yes, this model has floor protect, so it has a pan underneath which can catch up to 19 oz. of water. Smaller leaks evaporate, and larger ones make the pan tilt forward, so the water comes out and away from the unit. This model doesn't have a leak alert. Models PDT855SSJSS and PDT845SSJSS do, and those have the pan underneath as well as a moisture sensor which indicates a leak. If there's a leak alert, the dishwasher will cancel the cycle and pump out any water still in the unit.

- Answer Hi Jimmy- Yes, the dishwasher is equipped with a Piranha™ Hard Food Disposer with removable filter. The anti-jamming hard food disposer grinds food particles before they go down the drain. This clears the passage through to the drain and eliminates the need to pre-rinse dishes. The hard food disposer is made of stainless steel and will never rust. Thanks for viewing GE! SUEatGEA

QuestionHow long does it take to wash and dry a load of dishes? My Current whirlpool dishwasher takes 3 hours and 59 min per load. YES 4 hours. Says is has food grinder no need to prewash. Holes to food chopper are too small for a pea to fit through.

- Answer Manual has different times depending on cycle. Shortest is 55 min, longest is 2 hr 10 min - for wash time only - does not include drying time or other options. On light with heated dry mine runs 108 minutes (1 hr 48 min); normal with heated dry adds 20 minutes.
