“I just got two PDT855SIJII Dishwashers. They put my existing panels from my 11 year old kitchenaid dishwashers on and now the doors open hard. It takes several pounds of lifting to close the doors. The tech said the springs are as tight as they go. Help”

Hi Rok - Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing GE Profile! To ensure optimum door balance performance, the custom panel must not weight more than 20 lbs. See Quick Specs (page 2): https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=PDT855SIJII_C3.pdf - Also, customizing the toekick panel can adversely affect the operation of the door when opening.
