Q: QuestionHello - I have a GE Profile downdraft stovetop, Model number PGP989DN1BB, Serial number FT709216C. Looks like the top as installed is about 30 inches wide by 22 inches deep. Will the stainless steel Profile be compatible? Thanks!

Q: QuestionI've had a GE Profile 30" electric drop in cooktop for 7 years (model PP932SMSS). We are switching to gas so I need to replace it with a gas cooktop. What gas models will fit into my original countertop cutout? Can I get SS knobs instead of plastic ones?

Q: QuestionDoes this item has real stainless steel knobs or are they plastic that look like stainless steel? I purchased the GE 30" (not profile) that was less expensive and the plastic knobs are already causing problems so I am looking to see if I need to upgrade.

• A:Answer Hi marsing - GE Profile™ 30" Built-In Gas Cooktop PGP7030DLBB does not have child lock feature. A website correction request will be sent to BestBuy. Our GE Profile™ 30" Built-In Gas Cooktop PGP9030SLSS has control lock capability to protect against unintended activation. To lock the cooktop and prevent unwanted use, turn the control lock knob clockwise to Locked. An indicator light will illuminate when the cooktop is locked. When locked, gas flow to the burners is prevented. Burners will spark if a knob is turned, but will not ignite. To unlock, turn the control lock knob to Unlocked. Thanks for your interest! Sue
