“Can this hood be mounted as an island hood, and if not will GE be offering a slate colored island hood to match their slate colored appliances?”

Hi Mike, This is a wall mount unit only and cannot be installed in an island. We do not offer island hoods in slate at this time. This is always subject to change. Thank you so much for checking with us. Lisa from GE Appliances.
