“It says that height of this unit is 39 inches; however, is that the height to the back lip part or to the front part? My counter height is only 36 inches so I'm wondering if this sits up much higher than my counter.”

Hi Fenster- We are glad you like our GE Profile™ Series! The overall height of 39" includes the oven vent at the rear. The vent is approximately 3 1/4" high. The range will fit nicely with your 36" counter.
