Hi EConcepcion - Thanks for considering GE Profile Model PB960SJSS! Our glass cooktops are made of a durable, scratch-resistant glass ceramic material. They are not scratch proof, so it is important to use the proper cookware and follow proper cleaning procedures. Porcelain coated cast iron cookware can be used on the glass cooktop as long as the cookware is covered completely with porcelain enamel. Caution is recommended when using cast iron cookware that is not completely covered with smooth porcelain enamel, as it may scratch the glass ceramic cooktop.
