Since the Piranha Hard Food Disposal has a stainless steel blade the rotates at 3,600 RPM, it will be normal to hear some noise when the disposal is running. This unit is also equipped with the ability to use the Dry Boost feature. While this feature aids in drying your dishes, it will not cause the door to come open upon activation.
