A:AnswerHi Harry - All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions. When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. A:AnswerHi VManDIY - Per the Installation Guide: Remove the two top case screws
on the back of the oven. (See Template/ Rear Bracket Reference Guide.) Select the two rear brackets for the model you have and then secure to the oven back with the two top case screws. Make sure that the flat top surface of the rear brackets are level and flush with the top surface of the oven case. The brackets attach to the microwave and not the wall. These brackets provide the proper clearance from the back wall. All the support is from the top cabinet. The installation guide is included with the kit. Thanks for choosing GE! Sue
