QuestionI am interested in purchasing the GE gas dryer GFD55GSSNWW ASAP. When will the pedestal with the drawer become available for purchase. It's not available within 250 miles of my address.

- Answer I don't know how long you may have to wait--a store associate should be able to answer you. I will say that when our back ordered pedestals finally arrived after about a six week wait, the Best Buy contracted delivery crew did a great job installing them.

- Answer This pedestal is designed and tested for select GE Appliances washer and dryers. To ensure compatibility with your model, check that this GFP1528SNWW pedestal is listed in the optional accessories section of the Specifications. -- The drawer has a weight limit of 25 lbs. and functions best with a distributed loading approach; i.e items placed across multiple points in the drawer, and not all positioned in the drawer center. - Answer Hi, I received my pedestal after the installation of my dryer. I was told by the installer that someone will have to come back to install as the base has to be screwed into the dryer. I still need to call them. Hope this helps.

- Answer The geek squad installed ours. From watching what they went through, unless you have a strong frying help lay over the washer/ dryer , and then stand them back up. I would let the do it.
