- Answer This is true. To see if your phone is compatible do the following: Go to Settings, then Application Manager, then All Apps. You should see something called GearVR (or similar) in the list if your phone has been updated to use GearVR.

- Answer The headset uses a standard micro usb to interface with the phone. The port on the bottom is usb-c. So i think it all depends on ur OS version as well as samsung gear vr software. Also the phone size matters. It doesn't appear so.

- Answer I am not aware of any case that can stay on. The VR headset is pretty tight. Also, the phone gets very warm so you would not really want to leave a case on.
